n the ‘30's, Joseph-Armand Lemieux conscientiously worked as a Sales Representative in the pharmaceutical field. Every day, his customers were served with high consideration. In 1935, Joseph-Armand Lemieux decided to put emphasis on his entrepreneurial qualities. Man of action, man of vision, he reorganized a building located behind his residence and founded Ganka. Located at 1835 Saint-Jacques Street in L’Ancienne-Lorette, the company built its reputation by manufacturing quality work gloves at very competitive prices. Therefore, Ganka rapidly gained a favourable reputation among the specialized stores of the greater Quebec area. Always seeking to foresee and fulfill the needs and wishes of its customers, the company, composed of 10 employees, opened new horizons on the road to success.
